MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT MEETS PARTY EXECUTIVES
The Member of Parliament for Manso Adubia in Ashanti, Yaw Frimpong Addo has urged party members to adhere to the guidelines put in place by the National Executives of the New Patriotic Party for the upcoming parliamentary primaries.
The MP gave the advice when he met party executives at Manso – Adubia in the Amansie West district. Mr. Addo told the Constituency Executives that he has so far financed the education of 200 needy children at the university, polytechnic, nursing, and senior high schools.
He said since 2013, over 300 bags of cement and roofing sheets have been given to some of the communities within the constituency including Daatano, Tontorkrom, Aboaboso and other communities in the constituency to undertake development projects.
These projects are mainly schools buildings and bridges. In order to increase cocoa production in the constituency, the MP said he has also donated 26 solo cocoa spraying machines to farmers in the constituency. Mr. Addo disclosed that the 2014 national budget did not make provision for any road construction in the constituency which is the major problem facing the people in the area.
The MP who is also a member of the Parliamentary select Committee on Agriculture said that farming is not attractive to the youth and in future the country could face food scarcity since most farmers are getting old.
