AFRICA AND CHRIST

The Head pastor of the TUC Area of Christ Apostolic Church International in Kumasi, Reverend Samuel Amponsah Frimpong says many Africans still remain impoverished and stagnant because they have failed to identify and appreciate the fact that the gospel is the only true solution to all their challenges.

He made the remark in a sermon at a church service during the Easter celebrations on the theme: “Impacting Our World”.

According to Rev. Frimpong, it is about time Africans stopped complaining and blaming their governments for the socio-economic difficulties in their respective countries and begin to acknowledge the power of Jesus Christ to change situations for the better.

He advised people to desist from insulting their leaders while urging particularly Christians to imbibe good virtues in their families while being positive role models for the larger society.

Rev. Frimpong also advised African leaders and people serving in positions of trust to stop the blame game syndrome and seek the guidance and direction of God in their effort to address the developmental challenges such as poverty among the citizens.

According to him, such problems are responsible for most of the continent’s under development t and the outbreaks and spread of diseases.
